HOW TO PUBLISH WITH US
We invite individual creators, collectives, organizations, and thinkers across disciplines to send their project proposals. Whether you're an artist, musician, writer, editor, curator, photographer, designer, or cultural worker, we welcome ideas that require thoughtful execution and deliberate release methods.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are drawn to what cracks open new realms, inspires real connection, and turns print and storytelling into living, breathing forces. Grounded in the language of art, music, and performance, Year Zero is always preserving true expression as lasting provocations while building enduring bonds.
We embrace independent periodicals and limited editions of books and magazines, collectible artifacts, dynamic artist projects, and other experimental works that blur the lines between them. Our productions move through a wide network and multiple creative terrains across print, screen, sound, and wearable or collectible forms.
Year Zero welcomes proposals beyond the existing demand. We move without fixed blueprints and value the generative power of creative synergy. What emerges is shaped through friction and flow, through critical encounter.
If it belongs in print, in space, or somewhere in between, share it with us.
WHAT WE OFFER
We produce, print, distribute, and position editorial and artistic works within the cultural field, ensuring their presence is felt. Each work is a coalescence, a refining of the delicate balance between idea and its material embodiment. We give dedicated support, including:
Editorial & Creative Development – Providing tailored guidance in shaping both the editorial logic and material identity of each work. We collaborate closely on developing the intellectual architecture, refining its position, tone, and structure. In parallel, we creatively guide and produce the substance, gathering people around ideas and connecting minds with shared sensibilities and aligned practices.
Production – Printing through our partner Rota Printing+Packaging, we combine cutting-edge technology with a meticulous approach to material selection. From premium paper and inks to precise coloring, state-of-the-art machinery, and expert binding, we tailor each production to uphold integrity of independent publishing.
Retail & Distribution – Ensuring each publication finds its audience through a dynamic distribution network. We sell directly through our website and trusted stockists, working closely with selected and worldwide distributors while also engaging underground networks, independent art spaces, and fairs for purposeful visibility and circulation.
Public Engagement & Outreach – We foster spaces where your work can engage with the public sphere, generating cultural resonance through lived experiences and launches that open avenues for profound dialogue. We also handle post-production PR with care to sustain media reach and engagement.
Sponsorship & Partnerships – We secure funding through bespoke ad placements and carefully chosen sponsorships. In doing so, we support the financial integrity of each project and build partnerships that share its spirit.
We work closely within all phases, embracing the magic of spontaneous dynamics, while cultivating an environment where transparency is fundamental and the fairest, most equitable arrangements are upheld for all involved.
