Launched in 2018, Year Zero was an Istanbul based magazine exploring emerging global subcultures. Inspired by youth living in a place destabilised by change, the magazine was created to capture the tensions between generations, between tradition and what could come next.
The second issue of Year Zero surveys the endangered underwater habitat of Bosphorus, takes a dive into Palestines booming underground scene, features Nick Sethi’s exploration of brand and bootleg culture of India, as well as an interview with Pan Daijing, Omnivisio: A special project by Giorgio Di Salvo and Daniele Guerrini, and the fashion industry’s schizophrenic attitude to originality.
